Autumn is here in Naperville and I love it. I didn’t think we would get many nice colors this year with the weather we’ve had, but there are some nice oranges and reds in some of the trees around here. These are right at the corner outside the Church and provide a nice backdrop, depending on where you’re sitting in Church!
This was from our vacation to Sheboygan WI a couple of weeks ago. You’re looking east across Lake Michigan. I’m actually in the water taking this shot, because you could go out about 100 yards or so and still be waist deep. There’s a storm rolling in, though, so we weren’t out there too much longer.
This is a pewter Manger Scene that belongs to Fr. Ted and sits in the entryway of the Rectory. Very nice.
Manger 7 is one of Fr. Ted’s here in the rectory. We have a few of them, you’ll see them in the next couple of days.
Since I’ve missed posting a couple of days, this is the second one for today. I’m also cross-posting it to my text blog. Come, Lord Jesus!
This is another shot of my parents’ lawn manger, including the star. Kinda dark, though.
Today’s Manger is the plastic one that stands outside my parents’ home every year. I think we stated with the Holy Family, later added the angels (we had heard them on high, you know), and finally a couple of years ago added the Magi, which are dutifully standing off to the east (kinda).
This was Mom and Dad’s first Manger from the first year they were married. So it’s over 42 years old. Ugh!
